Making harsh judgments about people you’ve never met is bigotry.

Yes. I work in sales. I talk with a lot of people non-judgmentally while waiting for credit checks and paperwork. It is impossible to count the number of “lifelong Democrats” who tell me (I don’t ask but they tell me anyway) that they switched parties because of this stuff. Sensible people, too.

Blatant mischaracterization of what he said. Don’t put words into people’s mouths. Some folks do just fine saying their own stupid things without your help. And yes, the purity tests and culture war crap are reasons many voters switched parties and won Agent Orange EVERY swing state.

As a retail salesman, allow me to remind everyone of this one very simple rule: NEVER TRUST A FUCKING SALESMAN.

Wristcutters: A Love Story
One of my favorite dark comedies of all time. There’s not a lot of cursing or gore, and it has Tom Waits.

Conversion here is just like in retail when a visitor becomes a paying customer. More visitors to BG’s website from BS equals more paid monthly subscriptions.

Conservatives want to engage with the left, and when they are successful, they flip voters. Many people on the left seem to choose not to engage, and instead just block them. It may be satisfying but not listening to people and their concerns (actual people, not internet trolls) costs you elections.

These are the “white bois” I want to see on my feed, not those annoying ones on Twitter.
