Buyer remorse is beginning. People think Trump is overstepping his authority (they especially don’t like or trust Elon Musk), and that he is not focus enough on things that people elected him to, like lowering prices. www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

Our “big beautiful ocean” does not protect us from Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles and submarine strikes. It also does not protect us from our own traitorous President.

Using our “global strength” to force an invaded country into concessions with an invader makes us complicit with the invader. It’s like returning an abuse victim to the abuser’s home. Shameful. Wrong. Un-American.

You are not safe to fly under President Musk — who ruined Twitter by firing key coders and is now doing same with FAA safety & our nuclear program. apnews.com/article/ariz...

Trump wants you to forget that he gutted the Aviation Safety Committee and ousted the FAA administrator during his first week in office. Don’t forget.

Another plane crash, yet #doge continues to fire FAA staff. 🙄😡 www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/ne...

Their reckless, ignorant stupidity is now getting dangerous. www.nbcnews.com/politics/nat...

Happy Valentine’s Day to my Valentine, Paul! Over 40 years as a couple & more than 35 years married, we’ve come a long way together - with hopefully still a long way to go. 🥰💋❤️

This is so unsurprising. Did anyone think Elon was doing all of this work just for fun?

“A functioning democracy depends on the public possessing facts & knowledge to make informed decisions. We need to remember these things as the Trump regime works aggressively to strip away access to reliable information & dispose of evidence of what’s true.” www.americaamerica.news/p/we-are-in-...

Everything Elon Musk is doing is self-serving. Everything. 🤔🧐

One of our supporters shared this with us—people are getting creative tonight!

No one has fought harder for Minnesotans and our values than @smith.senate.gov. We will work as tirelessly as she does to ensure that her successor shares her commitment to those values.

That maybe there weren’t any qualified white dancers never occurred to this complainer. Which is hilarious because the qualifications of most white folks when it comes to hip hop dancing is something I question at every wedding I attend. 😜😂

Progressives preach about about overcoming our own unconscious biases, yet ignore that our attitude towards non-progressives is perhaps our biggest blind spot in that regard.

This from Law and Order (not the TV show 😉😂). Apparently, pardoning criminals who kiss his ring is now a bipartisan thing for Trump. Next up: Bob Menendez? 🙄😡 #crimepays

As Elon Musk shutters the CFPB, he, Zuckerberg, Trump, set up a personal crypto market to undermine the “woke” banks. You know, the banks that are insured & subject to consumer protection rules. I doubt even most MAGA voters support literal gambling with the savings of regular folks like them.

“This abrupt change..will have devastating consequences on medical science. Many people will lose jobs, clinical trials will halt, and this will slow down progress toward cures for cancer and effective prevention of illness” “A sane government would never do this” apple.news/AuphtalGfSpy...

Republicans have legislative power to enact “efficiencies” & cuts to govt agencies. But they don’t because they know it’s unpopular to cut regular folks’ programs to pay for tax cuts for rich folks. So they hand all power to Trump, who hands it all to Musk. Then they complain when the courts say no.

This is the most relevant article to NIH and research cuts I’ve seen. Imagine if this was today , how many people would be saying “Why are we studying Gila Monsters and their impact on diabetes ? That’s wasted money !” globalnews.ca/news/9793403...

Great point.

The recent attacks on Lutherans & Catholics proves that just being Christian is not enough for right wing Christian Nationalists. To them, you have to be the right kind of Christian. History shows that the devout always think that theocracy is a good idea until it’s not your church that’s in charge.

Anyone out there ever work in Treasury Payments? I'm curious if this is actually the case: The Secure Payment System (SPS) employs a strict separation of duties as a core security measure. The point of the ? Is to know how many people are required to approve a payment and where are they located

Every day is Christmas for Putin now.

Heather Cox Richardson is correct. And they are not doing that because they know their true policies are unpopular. It’s easier to allow Elon Musk to illegally seize government information and functions. Then folks can’t blame Congress for gutting itself, and the constitution.

She’s Lucy holding the football and the entire nation is Charlie Brown. Yet she keeps getting elected. Do better, Maine.

We have a million rules/procedures for something simple like "kid breaks arm-put a cast on it." Ends up being a million hours of labor to analyze/scrutinize & bill radiologists & hospitals & physicians & the people whose job it is to deny those medical claims & their boss too- for a kid's broken arm

Trump got Mexico to send the same 10,000 troops to the border that Biden already got them to commit. Trump got Canada to agree to the same measures to fight fentanyl that Biden already got them to agree to six weeks ago. Wow. What a dealmaker!

I saw this brief come in, and, I'll be honest, I didn't want to read it. I will, but it's appalling.

Wait so a president can just make up a department and pick an unelected head and then let him seize control of the government? Is this really what we’re dealing with here?

Everyone needs to be walking into your Congressional rep’s offices to demand answers.

Government officials and leaders: Be like James Dennehy.

I suspect USAID is first because it's "foreign aid" and fewer Americans will object. But once the precedent is established, expect unilateral dismantling of domestic institutions too

Trump keeps asking “who the hell came up with these trade deals?” The most recent deal with Canada and Mexico was the USMCA signed in 2020 by… *checks notes*… Donald Trump

Collins: Is there a tangible concession in your view? Davidson: Yeah, absolutely. It’s a commitment from Trudeau to help with fentanyl Collins: He announced that plan six weeks ago. Davidson: Well, at least he's reiterated it

Collins: He said that Canada is going to be implementing a $1.3 billion border plan, where they talk about reinforcing the border. I should note that's actually something that was announced back in December

2.2 billion gallons of water flowed out of California reservoirs after President Trump’s order to open dams. But water experts say the water will not flow to Los Angeles, and that it's being wasted by being released during the wet winter season: cnn.it/3CyhEHy

💖 actual resistance

US Senator Elizabeth Warren states very well the implications for every American of Elon Musk’s unconstitutional, illegal, and dangerous takeover of the entire US Treasury information & payment systems.
