It’s about time that reporters get called out for their misleading statements and the desire to create a false narrative about a non existent case just to make themselves look good and get that sound bite

He did very well - didn’t rise to the bait the conservatives were throwing at the liberals- despite their commitment to supporting the government on the many issues they are proposing that are similar- the conservative MP’s still were rude - disrespectful and spreading false narratives

I almost had the same reaction when I saw Melissa Lantsman standing behind her leader PP today - same haircut clothes- like an evil twin

I am thinking he is being very strategic in this - what I noticed was the lack of decorum in asking the former prime minister questions - it was always an attempt to attack and get those Twitter sounds bites the conservatives loved to use to mislead and deflect their own negative agenda and views

So will he be denied a visa to enter the US - will be interesting to see if he faces any consequences for his truthfulness and integrity

Is he for real though

They certainly model their blaming game talking points from their American counterparts the republicans 🤷♀️

Frightening yet not surprising considering the political climate in Alberta today

And why I only buy Canadian dairy and meat - based upon safety and health standards- Canadian products while more expensive are so much safer to consume

They are taking their cue from Walmart- who also do it all the time - bad look makes me want to continue with supporting my local grocery store- not a chain and farmer markets more so now than ever

Don’t get me started on the bike issues that have happened in the valley - most are responsible but some are not sorry - 6- 12 million dollars is a lot of money for us strapped tax payers

He is extremely patient with some media and their attempt to bait and trip him up - answers their questions with fact and logic - doesn’t deviate from his message - repeating it with facts and sound reasoning- his banking experience and expertise is not to be missed and is evident in his statements

The debate over the need for third crossing has been ongoing for years - it’s sorely needed and the walkway was originally budgeted for 2 million but has ballooned to a possible 12 million price tag so hence the ask is this best way to spend our limited tax dollars when there are so many priorities

I agree but they won’t it’s not in the American media DNA to be compassionate and respectful these days but maybe they might surprise us yet

No not good and I wonder how receptive the public will now be with regards to the tell all book about his time at the White House being released on Tuesday and his apparent mental state 🤷♀️

And she did the same with the minister of finance yesterday- combative the entire time- twisting the truth- making false narrative that the people of Canada want certain things now and how can we trust the new liberal government- seriously biased- she then gave the conservative MP a free platform

So while not agreeing with the politics of this MLA - I will say as a taxpayer living in Courtenay for over 40 years I do have real concerns over the amount this pedestrian-cycling bridge will cost - especially after being stuck in Courtenay traffic for years getting across the 5th street bridge -

But it seems the media is certainly stoking the rumour mill - once again certain reporters are not getting the message and want to create that narrative to create a non story into more than it really is - geesh it’s only been two weeks and is this the theme we can expect- disappointing

I would like some one to call out the provincial governments on exactly how they are spending healthcare money- it’s seems that money from the federal government isn’t being allocated fully to provincial healthcare funding - and why is it being allowed to continue

He needs to be in the spotlight and pretend he is still relevant maybe 🤔

I was very disappointed in her smug and negative comments- it is very clear and it’s very obvious she likes to imply things that are not true in order to create division and divide people when ever she can - clearly not neutral

Extremely good choice absolutely

He needs to have his 5 minutes of fame apparently- we shall see if there is any acknowledgement of his loss and has he changed his tune maybe - will negativity and slogans be his same old same old words we shall see

Thank you and I think some great choices and surprises for sure

Agreed- she is an excellent choice for this role and has proven herself more than once in her previous roles as an inspirational leader and speaker

Why does this surprise any of us - they were warned and they don’t care as long as they hold power the rich and republicans will continue to cater to this corrupt president and his minions 🤷♀️

Unfortunately there is a core group of conservatives who will say and do everything to undermine and discredit our current prime minister and government- he could give them everything they want and ask for and they will still complain - and their leader is to blame

Yes our Canadian prime minister was very impressive and we are very grateful he is our leader of our sovereign country- like he said in real estate somethings are not for sale with the White House and the Oval Office as a prime example

Sorry no we like ours very much and he is one of the intelligent and good ones 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

And he says it with a big smile every w😊

Yes I saw that but he did it in such a way as not to antagonize the other person speaking

He did an amazing job I thought he didn’t rise to the bait - uses the real estate analogy to make a point- and man the eye rolls were incredible at times
comment in response to

Yes he does he was being sarcastic as usual and shifting blame is my impression
comment in response to

He certainly is and not taking the bait that was being thrown at him

How can our prime minister sit there with a straight face and not break out laughing at the interesting stuff coming out of the mouth of the president of the United States- I would be on the floor laughing 🤣

That was a great comment from our amazing prime minister

He is already focused on his remodelling of the office with lots of gold

I think while a good choice it’s more of a safe option as they look to determine the what next for the party - unfortunately it’s not going to be easy rebuilding regardless with the current political environment especially with the unknowns from the south of the border crisis

He is so full of himself that he has clearly shown he isn’t a true leader it’s all about himself and no one else
comment in response to

Yes especially with most Canadian media outlets owned by foreign conservative news groups this statement is absolutely true and follows through with his Canadian strong points
comment in response to

I agree heartbreaking and so unsettling

Nothing he does surprises me anymore- what surprises me is the so called intelligent people around him that shrug it off so they don’t loose power and can fill their bank accounts with money and think they are above the law that everyone else has to abide by
