It’s International day against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia! Just a reminder that freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences of hate speech. Everyone has a right be themselves and love consensually. You don’t have to understand something to mind your business.

Helping people get their taxes done so they have more resources is an amazing way to create community and address affordability.

"At core, these are meal services & these are community spaces for people to come & chat up other people," Caton said. "So it's not one type of person that's using this, unless you consider poverty a type of person, right? It's just people who need food & need community." www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

“As a teen, I was one of “those people” trying to survive on social services who had the audacity to find community downtown, and some on Guelph City Council now would have considered me a threat to business.” erin.medium.com/who-deserves...

“DeBar was a safe haven and one that was accessible to all. As Rick made clear: he had lived on the street as a teen and perhaps longer. The homeless were not a threat. In fact, they kept DEBAR alive during COVID by buying coffee for one another.” philallt1.substack.com/p/lowering-d...

“Indigenous women are four times more likely than non-Indigenous women to be victims of violence. Indigenous women make up 16% of all female homicide victims, and 11% of missing women, yet Indigenous people make up only 4.3% of the population of Canada.” afn.ca/rights-justi... #MMIWG #RedDressDay

Ward one! Please come out and have your voice heard on this great property in our area.

At the ASEQ-EHAQ MCS conference for environmental sensitivities month. Accessibility Standards Canada talking about success of scent-free policies, how benzene (carcinogen) was eliminated and how these policies help everyone. Also how harmful alcohol cleaning products are.

Congratulations MP O’Rourke! I know you will serve Guelph well. Congratulations to @mark-carney.bsky.social on your election. Looking forward to a Canada united against Trump aggression, and a move towards kindness and understanding. Let’s get on truly affordable accessible housing. 🥳

Today is election day! If you have not cast your ballot, please get out there. Reminder we have two ridings in Guelph now, so check your postal code to see where to vote and who is listed for the party you support this round. www.elections.ca/Scripts/VIS/...

We just voted at our Elections Canada office! The advanced polls open this weekend so please get out and be counted. We all want housing. We need affordable, accessible housing.

Just watched McMillion$ on Netflix and apparently so did Elon. 🙃

It’s #TransDayOfVisibility & honestly the transgender community is plenty visible given all the disinformation out there. I’d like you to join me in spreading this mostly Canadian knowledge base that I compiled to educate on Trans Reality. linktr.ee/transreality

WARNING: The WRCSB is voting Monday on a motion that would ban pride flags, slogans, and symbols from being hung or shown (even on a sticker!) on school property. Even teacher's personal flags would not be allowed. Please show up on Monday to show support!!!

My brother has a yak farm in Alberta and one of his sheep had a surprise yesterday. Happy Spring Equinox everyone!

Happy to 2nd the motion moved by Councillor Allt, crafted by the mayor & staff, to support the province and federal government’s responses against Mr. Trump’s tariffs. US friends, we feel your pain & you are always welcome to come up to Guelph to take a break from your government.

Guelph is the best. Barbara is the best.

Ugh. No thanks.

Folks. Yelling at people who bring up issues with Carney’s choices isn’t going to make the Liberals win. Having Carney address the issues could though.
