Hunted through all my old photos today. Even found my Sudbury transit student bus card. 😄

The design is the dressing on top of infrastructure upgrades that we have no choice but to do. The road innards are old and cannot be sustained. We are upgrading the design as an opportunity to make it better. There is a plan to help businesses while it’s in flux.

Very important nuance to consider about downtown business by @philallt.bsky.social. ⬆️

We need chemical filtration on air purification systems as standard building code. These improvements should be instituted across all provincial legislation. Clean air helps everyone.

We need ES safe housing. Members of the MCS community have reluctantly opted for MAID due to health complications that could be addressed by safe housing. 3.5% of the population has no access to safe housing unless they have the funds to retrofit or build their own homes.

Federally we need better labelling laws that do not allow companies that use essential oils and other fragrances to claim to be “scent free” so that people who are trying to comply with policies can easily find options. Currently you need to know how to read ingredients.

Higher property taxes means higher rents without rent control.
Infrastructure doesn’t pay for itself and the costs will be affected by the tariff war.

When voting, consider any party’s plan to lower dev taxes, that doesn’t also reimburse municipalities 100% will raise property taxes, service fees or result in cuts.
That’s why our property taxes went up so much when Ford didn’t keep his promise to make municipalities whole after he cut dev fees.

This guy was at the protests with his horn. Just some casual bigotry. I guess minorities don’t count as underdogs?

Thank you! A lot of great people put their time into trying to make it thorough. I’m glad it’s helpful!

The translation feature on Bluesky is pretty clunky too in terms of UI. It will take a bit for them to catch up. I find that leaving a space like that just leaves a void of good information. I get the reasons behind not wanting to support Musk, it’s just more complicated.

Also Bluesky wasn’t fast to add accessibility features so it wasn’t up to the Canadian government standards until very recently. Still have more low income disabled community on twitter because it’s hard to build up donor support networks again.

I don’t know if they have done that analysis. It’s more about the click through to the city website/feedback surveys and use of tagging for customer support. I get minimal engagement here vs twitter but my follower numbers are very different.

You could try the Wooly back patio. It’s heated and breezy so the safest restaurant option over winter for dining. I haven’t eaten indoors aside from my house since 2020 so I wouldn’t know what the air quality is like most places unfortunately.

Our communications team has obtained a Bluesky account and told us they will begin posting soon. The city’s largest following is on twitter, so it makes sense to post there, as we need to keep people informed. The city has committed to not pay for any use of that system.

Many people in poverty are at risk everyday. People in various provinces have already had rights stripped. They have been living in very bad times already. They will vote for someone who speaks to their everyday needs or not vote at all. I get what you’re saying but that’s the reality.

Hopefully. There are a lot of issues that affect the various groups that are specific to trade which I don’t want to get missed.

Huge issues for disabled people in the economic war, especially in procurement of medical devices and equipment mostly made in the US. Human rights should be as important in trade wars as everything else.

The Minister in charge of health was the prior disability minister and was not highly regarded based on her work on the disability benefit. Disability issues span every department and are not just about health. I missed the “Jobs” that’s on me.

In the article “Several previous portfolios have been scrapped, including tourism, women and gender equality and youth, seniors and sport.” I looked up the rest.
