Oof. Today (well, yesterday now) was a lot. But I'm proud of how much I got done. Old trash is out, my new chair is working out nicely, and Hudsonville Blue Moon ice cream is surprisingly soothing when you have a stress headache.

Ended up watching video essays about The Substance, which I foolishly watched the ending of, not realizing the extent of the body horror in it. While the movie in its entirety seems to be thematically & horrifically impressive, I'm letting everyone know that if you're squeamish, do NOT watch it.

Chair assembly completed! It's super cute. Assembly time took about 2 hours. Currently sitting on it. The bottom seat is firm but also comfy, right at the perfect spot I hoped for. I can also make it decently tall, something I really wanted. We'll see if it holds up after about a week or so.

And it's done! I finally got rid of a stupid broken chest freezer, though the Freon dumping fee set me back a bit. But the service I called was excellent. Super nice guys, and they gave me as big a discount as they could since I didn't have much to get rid of to begin with. So glad that's over! 🗑️

AI slop is not art. For stealing so many interesting elements of actual artists' styles, the machines can't even put them together in a cohesive way. So much of it is butt-ugly, oversaturated crap. Even happier that courts are deciding these abominations don't qualify for copyright protection.

My poor hubby picked up a plastic stick of some sort of at work and got a bunch of microplastic slivers! 😭 We're getting them out little by little, but it's Sliver Removal on Hard Mode, with your only detection clue being the glint of light that reflects off them at the right angle. ARGH.

I did order 2 cute new reflective vests for the anti-litter initiative, & my pokey stick should get here today, so I'm happy about that. I hope the vests fit. I've lost so much weight that I can fit into Smalls again, and that's been pretty weird to process after only wearing L-XL shirts for years.
