My 25 y/o Pearl Izumi jacket failed around year 5 but since it was obviously a material failure they repaired it for free. I just had to mail it to them.
I only stopped wearing my PI (same age) because my middle aged gut made jt “shrink”.

My commute takes me on a dedicated bike path that crosses a busy street. We get our own traffic light.
