So we end up with many auditor general reports about where money went. Some ministry internal stuff. And very little external experts looking at the whole of the response (with BC perhaps the most comprehensive one). Source: centre.irpp.org/research-stu...

One exception is Manitoba. And that's probably why, in the first NDP budget, there was money for a COVID Lessons Learned committee. No idea what happened to it since then.

A bit late to this...we've done a lot of work on the post-covid (absence of) reports. In Canada, given where a lot of the decision-making was, the provinces should've done that work. One problem is that the parties that were in power then are still in power.

Per capita federal transfers: they already are, well, except one big one. Might as well just say EQ! What am I missing here...

Interestingly, not the case for the French version, which is the original. The English is also not a literal translation of the French and quite different.

I disagree, phone surveys are not boring! Mais blague à part, c’était pas si mal. Ça permet surtout à un public plus large de les voir dans un autre contexte.

Thanks for this, never seen it! I’m from around there. We always had a guy or two from Derby Line, VT on our hockey teams growing up because they didn’t have elite teams on their side. That border almost didn’t exist (other than providing jobs!). Sad indeed.

Quebec has indicated that it wouldn't go down that route for now because it wouldn't really matter. Is that the case? Outside of Ontario who already did it, what levers should be used here?

Here in southern Quebec, this is likely to be the last weekend too. Much better year than last year though.

Please contrast with the Québec call on RDS!

Happens when it’s high intensity and long duration but then if you have a good night of sleep (or two), it speeds up.

And I suspect it will be louder tonight.
