This week’s #FridayFeature: Andre Dawson’s Bat! ⚾ 🦅 By the time he retired after 21 seasons, Dawson was one of only three players in MLB history with over 400 home runs and 300 stolen bases. He was inducted into Cooperstown in 2010, wearing a Montreal Expos cap on his plaque.

🏆 Class of 2025 Inductee: Gerry Snyder 🏆 In our collection, we have a Montreal Star newspaper article from April 10, 1969, highlighting the challenges Snyder faced in securing a Major League franchise for the city. We also have a Montreal Expos media guide from the team’s inaugural season.

🏆 Class of 2025 Inductee: Arleene Johnson Noga 🏆 In our collection, we are proud to have a baseball autographed by Noga and her former Muskegon Lassies teammates, as well as a photograph from her playing days with the team.

🏆 Class of 2025 Inductee: Greg Hamilton 🏆 In our collection, we are honoured to have a Team Canada jersey autographed by the 2002 Junior National Team, as well as a photograph of Team Canada after winning gold at the 2015 Pan Am Games.

🏆 Class of 2025 Inductee: Érik Bédard 🏆 In our collection, we are proud to have the Baltimore Orioles lineup card from his MLB debut against the New York Yankees on April 17, 2002, as well as the game-used cleats from his 200th career start on June 8, 2013.

We have a #historymystery that we need help with! We received a bat stamped "DeJohnghe" which the donor believes was acquired in Boston in the late 1930s. We can't find anyone in the Boston area around that time whose name was spelled this way. Anyone have any ideas whose bat this might have been??
