I warm up faster with my toque on the stationary bike but that is just me. I yank it off once I start to sweat. I also just wear it indoors just to warm up rather than adding an extra layer on my core.

My fav is a pen that has a ruler (cm and inches), level, and screwdriver in it. It became an essential item for teaching the importance of taking pictures with scale. (Leafs, bugs, rocks, fossils, etc)
