What's going on now was an inevitable consequence of Reagan disparaging the federal government. Reagan said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'”

🇵🇱🤝🇺🇦 "Poland bought Starlinks, which it gave to Ukraine. We pay and will continue to pay a subscription fee for satellite internet for Ukraine. I cannot imagine that someone could decide to terminate a business contract for a commercial service, to which Poland is a party."

So far, the highlight of the second Trump term has been little X wiping boogers on the Resolute Desk.

Firing the JAG commanders has more to do prosecuting Milley and other generals Trump didn't or doesn't like.

The Army works on a command system. As you get promoted, you get bigger commands. Hegseth was a major but his biggest command was platoon leader, a position usually held by a lieutenant, two ranks lower. The Army didn't know what to do with him. He went to Princeton! But he's a terrible soldier!!

Does anybody know when the federal government is going to run out of money? A couple of months ago it was expected to be mid-March. But the people at Treasury who monitor the situation have all quit or been fired. Also, the DOGE-boys may have damaged the systems so no one can tell.

Hey, Amazon, I've got a great idea for a Bond eight-part series set in the early Sixties.

President Fruitcake thinks Ukraine should repay aid it received. While we're at it, should Israel repay all the aid it has received over the years? And should our NATO allies charge for what they spent fighting alongside us in Iraq and Afghanistan?

After WW2 there was the myth of the Good Nazi (Albert Speer, for example). One day, there will be the myth of the Good Republican.
