Anybody adopted the IPC-7352 land pattern naming convention for PCB footprints? I usually like to stay consistent with IPC recommendations, but I'm really not in love with some of the naming conventions in the spec... Trying to decide on whether to just use it as-is or go with something else.

Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d say: just updated the firmware on my new bike’s derailleur…🫠

Just posted a new #ZephyrRTOS article on @hacksterio.bsky.social about the recently merged XIAO RA4M1 support

PEP 751 has been accepted! peps.python.org/pep-0751/ This means #Python now has a lock file standard that can act as an export target for tools that can create some sort of lock file. And for some tools the format can act as their primary lock file format as well instead of some proprietary format.

If you've wanted to try #ZephyrRTOS but weren't sure where to start, I wrote up a quick start tutorial that can help you get started on the $5 @raspberrypi.com Pico 2 board--no other hardware or debuggers required!

For anybody that has read both "Computer Organization and Design" and "Computer Architecture: A Quantitative Approach" by Patterson/Hennessy, how would you describe the differences between these two books? (content, audience, etc) Are they essentially the undergrad/graduate texts respectively?

With #FreeCAD v1.0 out, I had to make a tutorial series on how to use it 📺 While FreeCAD still has some bugs, it's MUCH more stable now, and I use it all the time for basic parts 🔥🔥🔥 You can watch the first episode here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VPY... #CAD #engineering @freecadnews.bsky.social

**This Website is Hosted on Bluesky** This weekend I found myself digging through the AT Protocol specifications and the Bluesky Personal Data Server (PDS) implementation. In doing so, I discovered that I could setup a website that is fully hosted on Bluesky. danielmangum.com/posts/this-w...

Bluesky lazyweb question: If I change my handle here to a domain, what happens to existing links to my old posts? If I copy a link to one of my existing posts, it includes "cdwilson.bsky.social" in the URL slug. What happens to old links if somebody else picks up that username after I abandon it?

I just had Kalbijjim for the first time and well... white people, we've been doing pot roast wrong.

Hey bluesky, what's up? I will most probably be more active on mastodon, but let me share what I'm currently working on: Coming weekend I will be at #Supercon where lots of people will bring SAOs (Simple Add-ons) for the badge. One of my favorite SAOs I made, is TARS: hackaday.io/project/1980...

Flyin out to @hackaday-feed.bsky.social #supercon for the first time! If we’ve never met, come say hi 👋! I have glow-in-the dark stickers from @embeddedfm.bsky.social, non-glow-in-the-dark stickers from @mattgodbolt.bsky.social and a couple #SAO kits to hand out.

The 2024 Hackaday Supercon SAO Badge Reveal

Got the PCBs in for the 🧼 #SAO last night lol This one started out with me trying to stick a SAO connector into an actual block of soap…turns out it's REAL hard to get things to stick to soap. So it became a PCB instead. hackaday.io/project/1984... if you want to follow along. #hackaday #supercon
