Everything has to reference something. Even comedy feels different, a lot of jokes feel like I read them on the internet somewhere first. Everything needs to be ironic, referential, or a clap back. Repetitive patterns of writing. Funny isnβt clever anymore, real wit feels hard to find sometimes.

Lots of reasons why, but for me, too many new productions play it safe. Committee style directing with execs instead of following a singular leading vision. Fewer unknowns getting interesting roles. Hurried filmmaking processes so that real artistry is sacrificed for the sake of convenience.

I was hooked. Hay Lin and Cordelia were favourites. I even kept up with the show for as long as I could. Who was your favourite?
