ps you will be not especially interested to learn that my home town, Manchester had it's own home-grown version of rockabilly in the 1980s, commonly called Mancabilly. It is also commonly called "what's that dreadful racket you are playing Sally". I love it very much.

Thanks! This had a massive impact on me when I saw it on BBC2 as a teenager, it showed me that science can be so very exciting and so very beautiful. My kids are about the same age I was when I saw it so I really look forward to watching it with them. Thank you for posting 🙏

Moving to see this editorial as I fly back from #biologists100 and a reminder that, as so many at the meeting noted, @biologists.bsky.social are unarguably 'the good guys'.
