Moment of silence for my hot water that is Still not back after over 24 hours

I'm only 9% into Silver Blood by @tallimorgan.bsky.social but I need everyone to know I love Cyrus so much and if anything bad happens to him I will cry

A: Closeted woman in a traumatized coal mining town meets Astarion/Spike coded vamp but Oops The Town Is Sentient? B: Vampire pirate kidnaps trans daughter of the queen who turned her, catches feelings but oops gonna viciously kill your phobic mom sorry - via @cozywitch.bsky.social

There are so many reasons why Bsky is better than That Place but one of my favorite has to be how much easier it is to find indie books!

The Impavidus Cycle is a dark fantasy trilogy about identity, family, and meaning, set in an alternate-history version of our world during the early Renaissance. In it you'll find multiple POVs from a diverse cast, secret societies, weird aliens, political intrigue, and more 👀 linktr.ee/1mpavidus

🩸 COVER REVEAL 🩸 I’m so excited to announce the book that has been consuming my thoughts for the past few months! BLOODY LAMB is a horror romance standalone following Eve, a woman who escapes a nefarious cult, and Nyctis, the demon tasked with bringing her back. The chase begins this summer 📚💙

The pain I'm gonna be putting these characters through 😈

“What… What are you doing?” she asked groggily. “Just seeing what it’s like to love you when I can’t see you.” Shark Heart by Emily Habeck broke me.

My first time holding a print copy of my book. I...am not okay lol 😭 This book is special to me because it's my first and because I'm terminally ill, so I didn't know for sure that I'd make it far enough to really do this. It's...exactly the book I wanted to debut with.

A friend posted a screenshot of this tweet and I was like oh my god I have a snippet for each of these so here we go...(1/6)

One trope I love and hate 💖: "Fake Dating" when they both have to pretend to date for a short amount of time (like to gain access to somewhere) and one/both realize that it's a little too easy to pretend ❌: "Surprise Kisses" when a character kisses another in a tense situation or without asking

This seems like an appropriate time to remind everyone that I wrote a very romantic, very queer, slice-of-life fantasy about a former servant of evil starting a new life working in a bookshop & falling in love with a handsome knight & it’s out now! 💕 books2read.com/u/b5YEw1

Also I know no one cares, but I got a new keyboard as an early birthday present because my old one broke and the way the keys click as I type is so good for the writing brain!!

Doing something I've never fully done with a writing project before...Outlining. What I'm tentatively calling "Project: Northern Flock" is coming along swimmingly 🥰

Not to toot my own horn, but toot freaking toot because the concept for this pirate crew is actually so genius

I started working on my gay pirate fantasy again and have already started two excerpts instead of working on the first chapter. I love these gays!

I just got finished buying all the books I wanted as an early birthday present to myself...but I completely overestimated by ability to choose what to read next once I finish my current read 😬

I'm not someone who usually gets 50% into a book in one day...yet I'm 50% through Shark Heart. I'll likely finish it through insomnia wake-ups tonight!

Small joy of the day: A library book I've been on the waitlist of for a little over a month finally opened up today!

So why did no one tell me Alice in Borderland was so good?? I'm still only on season one, but it's SO good!!

My January Reading Wrap Up! I read 5 books last month (To Be Taught If Fortunate is a re-read but it still counts), most of which were surprisingly contemporary romances.

The Kid and I both need our passports. We haven't gotten it done before because of cost, but we can't wait much longer. You can probably guess why if you know us. Scary goddamn times. If you could drop a little help in the coffee cup, that would be amazing. 💜 ko-fi.com/cknightwrites

Having chronic insomnia sucks, a ton, but at least its helping me read more I guess

Live reaction of me logging into my library ebook database to see I'm finally single digits on the waitlist for two books I've been dying to read!!

The world sucks, but I've been reading a cute book and the characters in my new novel finally kissed so at least there's that!

I have never been a contemporary romance writing guy...but damn that book has made me start planning one. Very scary. But the characters I've written are so cute and their relationship is going to be adorable ☺️

I mean aside from a house by the water, medical stuff, and a car to learn to drive as well as a chunk of it in savings, probably a really nice office and a bunch of nerd shit to put in it. Also books. So many books.

I usually hate age gap romance in media, but I just finished the cutest sapphic book last night that I could not stop thinking about. I dropped to my knees in horror when I realized my library ebook collection doesn't have any of the other books by the author. Ruined and distraught.

I've successfully cleaned the mold that was secretly hiding near my window and a corner of my wall! Tomorrow I shall move my desk and finally put up my bookshelf!!

Happy holidays to everyone, or happy living if you don't celebrate anything this week/month 💚

Trying to get back into reading this year, here's progress on my (first ever) reading journal

finding this cheap book website was a mistake, my wallet is in tears

I just learned that the cheap book website I buy from is going to be part of the gst free 2 months...my wallet is crying

Best part about being an ebook reader is all the sales kobo has...I just got 6 books for $12.40 🥰 My kobo is going to be stacked for the new year when I begin my reading journal
