I have hundreds of logins left to change, but at least this will be the last time I’ll need to do this. I’m decoupling my address from any particular email provider by using a custom domain name. (I’ve been influenced by Bluesky and the AT protocol.) #atprotocol #protonmail

That's a good idea. I need to just try it out and see how it feels!

I hope to give it a shot. I wish there were options to make it a little less deadly and more heroic just so I could use it for a particular setting of mine, but I’ll see! I haven’t tried it yet. I’m also very excited that they are using the system for a Lone Wolf RPG!

Oooh Drakar och Demoner? I recently got the English version (Dragonbane) and it's VERY cool. I want to play it sometime in the near future! Too many games, not enough time! 😆

I figure 2nd edition makes the most sense, as it gives you more optional rules. Also the supplements are pretty awesome.

As far as I know, there are two versions of MERP: first and second edition. This forum mentions some of the differences: forum.rpg.net/index.php?th...
I assume you’re only talking about MERP as opposed to the more modern systems?

We wanted to be able to create things and make it work how we wanted. Eventually I realized Champions/Hero would allow me to do this, so that became my system of choice for years afterward. But now I’ve moved on from Hero and have been trying out lots of other TTRPGs.

I remember when I was learning MERP initially, I was like “I have to wait until level 6 before I can cast Fire Bolt?!”
Eventually we upgraded to Rolemaster and that was our system for several years. We were always trying to make the system fit what we wanted from a fantasy campaign, though.

It will release both on Netflix and on PBS/PBS Kids, which are, as far as I understand, locally available and free.
