an homage to all the forgotten nintendogs (this is not really just about nintendogs) #art #promosky #nintendo

don’t meet your heros. i finally saw the critters from redwall irl and they don’t even talk. they’re just pissing and shitting everywhere.

Old man yaoi only improves a show. This has been shown through scientific data.

i feel like i'm taking insanity pills reading people say that york U is cutting Indigenous studies, religious studies, classics, leadership, biomedical ethics, etc. because of the international student caps. international students are not coming overseas to enroll in liberal arts courses!

Just a little spring frog! 🐸💦 #overwatch #mei #gamephotography #virtualphotography

have yet to encounter a use case of AI that doesn't make me think: i could do that myself with my own mind

For example: "+5% chance to Critically Hit" "The last round in your magazine deals double damage." Absent any other context, the first design has some guaranteed Efficacy (it increases damage), but the second design has much higher Curb Appeal (reading the sentence makes you imagine a story)

Hey guys meta announced a new policy where they send a killer to get you so be sure to go to settings>my account > killer> disable killer to turn that off

being someone who understands how game design works and also still loves overwatch makes existing online a unique challenge whenever overwatch announces anything

here’s a cool test to see if your country’s economy is good: walk to the grocery store and count how many unhoused people you see. anything greater than zero means your country is a failure in all ways.

every inch of progress in the US is like this. BLM, defund the police, trans rights, etc — all marginal, sometimes nonexistent gains followed by massive rightward pendulum swings born of the (false) assertion that by gently prodding an issue, we’ve gone “too far”

i didn't have enough appreciation for the humble thumb until i tweaked it and learned how many hand functions the thumb supports

The ceasefire started, but after 15 months of war, we’ve lost everything. 💔 I’m a web developer in Gaza, urgently needing support to rebuild my office and secure electricity and internet to restart my work and support my family. Donate now, stand with a family from Gaza 🙏🫂🕊️ gofund.me/80c165c6

years ago i wrote a first draft of a novel that was part climate change dystopia, set in Syilx territory, where transnational pipelines ruptured after years of neglect due to a trade war with the US and accelerated issues with water reservoirs in the area.

I need folks to read this short story today. I think it does a better job than a non-fiction essay harangue of highlighting the real danger of ignoring Indigenous Ppls with alm this 51st state talk and tariff warring. Especially in area with NO TREATY.

Can't believe the amount of heat we used to get for downloading an mp3 when every tech company is downloading the sum total of human expression to sell a scromited version back to us

Microsoft's own research confirms something that was already pretty obvious: relying on a text generating machine to come up with answers erodes critical thinking, and is a method favoured by those who never liked doing critical thinking in the first place advait.org/files/lee_20...

have u ever been personally attacked by a meme

This probably isn’t the developers’ top priority (although it should be), but I’d love to see the Bluesky app have an option to switch to the Julian calendar for those of us who reject the lies of Pope Gregory XIII
