I flexed up to a promotion after a year-long junior position. Comes with at least a $6/hour raise.

There's some rumbling that the Rubio pick is so DeSantis can appoint Lara Trump to the Senate. Speculation, but seems plausible

What do we think is going to happen to Schiff, who at least made an attempt to impeach Trump, even if it wasn't great?

So many Jewish friends on IG calling this a pogrom and making it all about anti-Semitism. Never mentioned Israeli actions.

To be fair to the Times, this is the sensationalist Murdoch rag the NY Post. Of course the NYT does plenty that is awful too, but usually not this blatant

As a Californian, Newsom has had years to build his 1 million affordable homes. He hasn't done it and has kowtowed to industries like AI wherever possible. He doesn't care, except for running for the next office

I just dealt with this with the dentist. They accept my insurance but that doesn't mean they're not out of network 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes, the general concept of the class is pretty gross

I'm in a managing human capital class right now and the emphasis on AI is here and you need to use it is demoralizing

And the NRLB decision gutting labor protections, which got overshadowed the same day. It reminds me of the day both marriage equality (Obergefell) and the gutting of the VRA (Shelby County) were released

Not good at social media, but Feinstein talking down to a teenaged constituent who came to engage on climate change or HRC telling people rightfully disgusted with the tptb's handling of Israel and Gaza are emblematic

I'm in between liberals and the left, and I think it's a more structural power imbalance than anything else. Left wing ideas seem to be gaining in popularity, but liberals in power refuse to listen or rise to the moment. The 'big tent' is literally pushing leftists out and insulting them.

I logically know it's because of the cruelty of people in power, but I just did a school project partially on Prop F, and my entire group was in favor. Some regular people think this could be a solution to the drug crisis

Part of why it took so long was to convince/force the city to make it 100% affordable (on, I believe, city-owned land). Lots going up that is not affordable at all in my neighborhood in Oakland, which from what I've heard has stabilized rents-ish. But we still need more affordable housinf

What does "pursuit" on the poster mean? That seems threatening

Okay, but Biden has indicated he is digging in his heels and leftists are telling you this argument isn't working for them. Isn't it incumbent on Biden to do something to earn the votes?

I was listening to The Bugle recently and Hari Kondabolu said Biden was an old 81 and Trump is a young 77! Like how do you come to this conclusion?!?

I literally just saw a conservative guy have 'no gnostics' in his profile on a dating app. Does it just generally mean no traditional Christians?

What does gnostic mean in this context? Just saw a conservative guy say no gnostics on the apps.

So glad SFSU doesn't start until the 29th. Canvas isn't showing this for me... yet anyway. And the head of my school/dept presented the union favorably in the email explaining the strike.

I had to break myself of this mentality. It was harder than I thought it would be.

I honestly am having trouble finding local lefty politics on blue sky. Even offered mutual an invite. They had one already, and it just wasn't worth it.

When you search for the NYT article about how retail theft was overblown, all articles about the "surge" come up. It's maddening.

Of the two flights I just took, two different people, one each, cut the line in group 2, one in front of me and one behind me. Not the most egregious, and I didn't confront them, but still...
