Dialing back on the news a bit. A fella can only listen to so much NIN, Tool, Rage Against The Machine, and Ministry in a day.

Today’s 520 bike trail was an ice sheet. First time I’ve ridden to work and not seen another bike. Which means I win the dumb award?

I overheard a dad say “It’s easy on a bike!” to his son on my bike ride home tonight. I didn’t hear what “It” was, but my mind has been coming up with ideas ever since.

A city of drivers expands, relentlessly and inevitably, into sprawl. A city of pedestrians, cyclists, and transit-users settles, gradually and elegantly, into itself.

Over ten years in the making, we're opening the Montlake land bridge over SR 520 today.

Sitting on a bus in car gridlock right now realizing my one wish would be to turn all the vehicles into ebikes so everyone could experience getting home faster. In the Puget Sound I bet that be true during rush hour for most locations up to 25 miles away.
