I got an email on both of my Patreons (furry and anime) saying a lot of my posts didn't meet the new guidelines, but the terms of service don't seem changed any. Maybe they just got a human combing through some stuff now? A lot of the posts were several years old by now

I mean my furry stuff is pretty much safe on there since it was posted before the new changes, but I had some pieces that could be considered 'dubious consent' so I had to edit/remove them. So long as they look enthusiastic, you should be good!

They're pretty lenient with the NSFW stuff but they're swayed by the credit card people. I'd make one now since creator fees are going up in August regardless.

It's a tough balancing act, I won't lie. I'd still make a second Patreon before the fees go up /just in case/ and maybe see what other folks are interested in? Either way, you'd get more income, it just depends on if people are cool about it or not.

I made 2 patreons, one for furry, one for anime, because the "worlds" are so different, but being creative with tiers is definitely useful! People can opt in to see it or not and it could save a lot of headaches

I feel it! I play farming games on stream but there's so few. Tales of Seikyu has been great but it's also early access and...there's still not a lot to do. The new Harvest Moon game is out soon too.

Especially as an 18+ artist, you're gonna see a L O T of people using the same refs, so you learn to ask quietly. Cuz if it IS traced, they usually delete it, but if it's NOT, then you won't look foolish when you're proven wrong. Regardless, I'm sorry this happened to you!

I mean, I WILL say after the Gsony shit (and AI in general), I think a lot of people just don't trust artists :/ I can KINDA understand why they might've jumped to conclusions, but also...you talk to the artist first instead of outright accusing?? Especially when people use the same refs lol

I think the best part is, is if they really liked your art, they'd be able to tell 'your style' by now. Like yeah your coloring can change but your bodies and faces are still yours. Then again, Instagram is full of some of the nastiest people around so I'm still not shocked by the accusations
