Repost with the first album you bought with your own money

why go to therapy when you can drink coffee and buy books as a little treat to fill the void inside.

New Fontaines DC, just so absolutely lovely. Could listen to this one a thousand times in a row.

Always the feminine urge to only eat popcorn for dinner

Travis at Royale. 25 years since the last time I'd seen them! What a joyful night, a crazy long set, and the whole crowd singing along. They look great, and sound great. Fran is an angel.

Word of the Day is ‘quockerwodger’ (19th century): a puppet individual whose strings are pulled entirely by someone else.

I get the best valentines ❤️

Word of the day is ‘arsle’ (19th century): to have a distinct sense of going backwards.

Today's library haul. It's also the 5th birthday of my favorite cafe in JP ❤️🎂❤️

I’m too sexy for my body. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 🎶

Frozen pond, blue sky. Long walk to catch up on podcasts.

A party bus but it picks you and your friends up after a long week and just goes coffee shop, bookstore, ice cream parlor, thrift shop, short nap, bakery, a different bookstore, museum, cocktail bar on a loop until you feel better

Marry someone who will do the virtual queueing for Kneecap tickets while you are literally at a border crossing.

Coming up to Montreal for a third Wunderhorse show was probably the best of my dumb ideas. The crowd was INSANE and the show was just blistering.

Wunderhorse at the Sinclair. They are the most exciting band touring right now.

#Booksky: If you haven’t already, export your data from Goodreads (an Amazon company) and import it into StoryGraph, a book-tracking app founded and led by a Black woman.

Gorgeous & sunny along the Maine coast this morning

Wunderhorse at the Bowery Ballroom. Absolutely incredible. One of the best live shows I've ever seen.

Now is a good time to distract yourself with some cozy mysteries starring some of these legendary sleuths. #booksky 💙📚

My ladieeeees and Fluorescent Adolescent at the pub, this is a great day right now in this moment and I'll take it

I hope you’ll join me in the Cool Person challenge (being a Cool Person by getting a library card, lengthening your attention span and sharpening your mind through extensive reading)

Boston friends, go see Been Stellar on the 23rd. They are very young and very earnest & they have some catchy songs.

'Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again. It seemed to me I stood by the iron gate leading to the drive, and for a while I could not enter, for my eyes were too googly.'

Do your local library a kindness! Share this if you love and support libraries and librarians (don’t forget your school library & librarian, too!) 😊📚 Thank you to all the library workers who keep the magic alive—you’re true heroes! ✨💚

I recently discovered Wrest & if you're making a playlist for cozy days reading books indoors...just top of the list, this one

Accurate. Sadly.

Delighted to say I've already broken my new year's resolution of not buying new books. Cambridge's new romance bookstore is just completely cozy & lovely. I'm all about the SUPPORT #lovestruckbooks

every so often I feel compelled to point out that interlibrary loan is a goddamn miracle. If you have a library card and can wait a little while, you can have in your hands just about any book you want.* just because there’s going to be another library out there that says “Sure, we’ll send it.” 📚
