Putin/Trump = ARSLE. With an ARSLE in the White House, and a bunch of GOP Republican mini-Trump wannabe ARSLES in Congress destroying FBI/CIA/DOJ/Law enf.,along with every other USA agency which "Make America Great". Putin/Trump/Musk/GOP/"Christian" Nationalism = CRIMINAL Corporate Fascism = ARSLE.
That would be a lovely thing for that word (or indeed any word) to mean, but the only evidence I know of shows something slightly different. Here's the entry in the English Dialect Dictionary (the word isn't in the #OED).
Perfect word for the sense I have with the Orange Guy taking away requirements for energy efficient light bulbs, appliances, and water-saving features. Soon we will be using kerosene lamps!
I live in the Eastern Maritimes of Canada, and I can assure you arsle means something much different around here. It's got a slightly different spelling, but the pronounciation is about the same.

We should have known under W. He said the GOP "want to go back before Roosevelt'. Little did we know then, he meant Teddy not FDR. And that's their goal - the Gilded Age w unfettered riches for the few, zero rights for anyone else. Musk wants a people-free society for the few, so there's that, too.
I've heard 'arsling about' used by people now long gone, who would have been born in the 19th century, but I always thought it had the obvious route.
They were folk who wouldn't ordinarily swear, especially in company of ladies, so perhaps they were using this connotation.
