UK energy industry made £483bn profit since 2020. OFGEM's marginal pricing rules guarantee profits to the most inefficient/costly producer. 1 in 5 of all deaths are people in fuel poverty – including 110,000 pensioners. No curbs on profiteering. Real wages cut. WFP cut. Cost of living soaring.

Poverty kills. Cancer death rates are 60% higher for people living in deprived UK areas compared with those in more affluent areas. 28,400 extra deaths due to deprivation, people seek comfort in smoking. Poor healthcare, late diagnosis, 'must work pressure' punishes the poor.

Farage is a quisling, a traitor & should be thoroughly investigated for financial shenanigans & jailed.

More cuts? Not on our watch. The lives of the super rich wouldn't be impacted by a wealth tax, they would just have less to invest, but the lives of everyone, every day, are impacted by the services we rely on - our schools, NHS, councils, welfare, childcare, etc. taxjustice.uk/blog/the-gov...

To tackle an enemy within that does not care about the truth, you have to be radical - you can't walk a tight-rope trying to appease everyone, you have to snap that tight-rope in half and do the thing that actually benefits people. With a poor economy, fascism thrives on fear.

@brexitrage.bsky.social is correct - there is no special relationship. Trump is showing that right now.

1918: After four years of war, German forces in the World War One crept forward & got to 50 miles of Paris… …and then the German economy collapsed 2025: Russia is 3 years into the invasion of Ukraine, its forces are slowing down but still creeping forward at a rate of only 100 metres a day

Barclays CEO pay up from £4.3m to £10.5m. Real average pay of UK workers unchanged since 2008. Govts tell workers pay rises are inflationary, but that doesn't apply to exec pay, dividends, exec pay, share buybacks. Their profiteering is our inflation and poverty. It is class war.

Has the Ukraine discovered America isn't the friend they thought it was with Trump now in charge, it looks as if he is going to hang them out to dry.

UK economy flatlining. 0.1% expansion in last quarter. Can't build economy without helping the bottom 50%. Redistribution is not dependent on growth. At the very least abolish VAT on domestic fuel, cut std rate of VAT, increase personal allowance by £1,000. Shift cost to th rich.

Very very worrying times we are in,History repeating itself!

There is lot in the press concerning immigrants falling to integrate, but I understand this is common among Brits living in Spain, who stick together and even boast of their English pub, thats what ppl do.

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing does not keep a record of vacancy rates among community housing providers (Victoria). How is this acceptable? What the hell is going on? #HousingNow #auspol This community housing provider has empty homes needing maintenance. 🤔

Not only is beneficial alignment the right thing to do, for growth. It is also the most popular option with voters. "41% say the UK should be more closely aligned with the EU. 20% say less closely aligned." One of the easiest political choices a gov't can be asked to make. ~AA

America is no longer our ally. Reform are Russian moles trying to get us to bend the knee in exchange for money. We need to rejoin the EU, Farage broke it apart for this end, to weaken us. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70... foreignpolicy.com/2025/01/10/e...

Just had the biggest argument with a friend ever They believe everything Reform UK. I’m Labour obviously. What started this, they didn’t believe Reform voted against the borders bill & just spiralled out from there I swear if my cousin hadn’t turned up & stopped us there would have been a fight
