Didn't renew my subscription when it lapsed at the end of 2024. No regrets.

I picked an early slot because I fully expect to finish after the latest starter

Scalise actually got shot and still has an A+ rating from the NRA. So no, it's not even going to take that.

How is he even a member of the RSS? He's not even a scientist. Just a rich guy who bought his way into sciencey stuff.

I kind of like uncoupled RFs. I'd assess distance and meter the scene before opening the camera. After figuring all that out, open the camera, fiddle with the lens, aperture, shutter, fire, and fold back up.

I think I was in a totally different spot. I didn't see any of these signs!

How deep do you go in the book into PE in the healthcare industry?

They're apparently using some service called PageFreezer. No doubt it's a really expensive contract that shouldn't have been necessary in the first place. Test URL redirects to PageFreezer: www.hhs.gov/about/news/2.... It was a broken link on Feb 9.

Related to the work I do, I discovered an HHS website got scrubbed because it was about "private equity", which is completely unrelated to what they're targeting.

Agree with building mileage slowly. Slow your pace down a bit. Keep a running log and track how many miles you're putting in your shoes. A pair usually should last 200-300 miles. If running daily, buy 2 pairs and alternate.

I'm not really a podcast person but I've been following Talking Points Memo for a long time and they put out podcasts.

I'll have to try this. I've been letting Silverfast to the negative conversion.

The Konica Pearl is a sweet little camera. If it were me, that would be top of the queue to get fixed.

Love the composition and the contrast. What film is this?
comment in response to post
Take 3 photos with BW IR film. One with an IR filter, another with a green 58 filter, and the last with a blue 47 filter. Digitally lay them on top of each other, futz with the color channels of the 3 layers. Voila!

So a get-out-of-jail card isn't a get-out-of-jail-forever-for-anything card?
comment in response to post
Smart move. I've been mimicking color IR with trichromes, unfortunately.

Holy crap. So good. Where did you find this film?
