In case you haven't figured it out yet people in my life (especially my kids) often hear, "look at that sky!" Or "what a pretty sunset!" Accompanied by me usually pulling over or otherwise stopping what I'm doing to try and grab a photo.

We had storms a couple weeks ago and these were the skies afterwards....

Scar. 💜

Two kindergarteners are in critical condition after a gunman opened fire in a KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM in California today and it isn’t even on the front page of the news sites. WTF have we allowed ourselves to become?

Candle magic is a simple yet powerful way to focus your intentions. Each color holds unique energy—light the flame, set your purpose, and let the magic flow. 🕯✨ #CandleMagicsky #Witchcraftsky #Manifestationsky #witchsky #pagansky #occultsky

Knot, cord magic & witch's ladders are probably descended from ancient folk magic; think Celtic patterns and knotwork. In earlier times it could have involved subtly weaving magical intention into everyday objects, such as clothing & bedding. Fascinating topic!🪢 #Druidsky #OBODSky #witchsky #pagansky

If your disabled friend or family member tells you they CAN do something this holiday season, believe them. If your disabled friend or family member tells you they CAN’T do something this holiday season, believe them.

There are no bad feelings! Yes, some feel bad in the moment. Yes, some are challenging, some are motivating. Yes, some may drive us to act in ways that we don't want to act. All feelings are important, all feelings deserve to be recognized, validated, respected, processed.

Please don't share videos or images of autistic children (or adults) having meltdowns. You likely wouldn't want someone exposing your most vulnerable moments without your permission, and autistic people deserve the same respect and privacy. Spread the word. #neurodiversity #autism #autistic

Here’s a crazy idea. Let’s make sure the proposed new FBI Director can pass an FBI Background Check.

So much of being disabled is grieving. Grieving the body you’ll never have, grieving the capabilities you used to have but no longer do, grieving friends and family who no longer reach out. It’s a heavy, ongoing type of grief that is compounding.

Keep pushing 😤

Kindness matters. But kindness does not = justice. Civility counts. But calling for civility is not the humane response to injustice. Justice is. Love is essential. But love is not a passive, weeping bystander. Love puts in work. - Rev. Dr. Bernice King

Libraries are an investment. Not an expense

Some of my favorite books from the years... 📚 The Otherworld series Kelley Armstrong 📚 The Discovery of Witches trilogy by Deborah Harkness 📚 Lightning by Dean Koontz 📚 The fever series Karen Moning 📚 Fourth wing & Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros (anxiously awaiting Onyx Storm) #BookSky

Currently reading: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas Still looking for something similar to Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series though. Any suggestions? (I've already read Karen Moning's fever series). #booksky #spicy #worldbuilding #storyline

Got in the car the other morning and the condensation was thick. The sunlight refracted perfectly and I got this rainbow shot. #casualphoto #rainbow

Had the phone interview to complete the littles SSI application. Fingers crossed she gets approved & we start getting some help cause we are drowning. #SSI #ChronicIllness #POTS #Disability #Kids

Oh these teen years are hard on a mama's heart with big feelings all around. Parenting teens is not for the weak.

“If you were really that sick you would have more help.” We’ve all heard it - from those we love & folks who should know better. People deny the severity of chronic illness while embracing the incorrect notion that help is available. They can SEE our suffering but they won’t accept it 🧵/1

“Inspirational“ stories about disabled people boil down to the same themes. “This disabled person did it. What’s YOUR excuse?“ “Able-bodied person treats disabled person like a fellow human being. They’re SUCH a good person!” “Disabled person appears to recover. See! It’s all about WILLPOWER!”

Feel-good stories about disabled people are rarely intended to make DISABLED people feel good. Read that again.

"Letting customers know that you are autistic is unprofessional". Not the first time I've heard that (paraphrased and bizarre) attitude. What's 'unprofessional' is prejudice against marginalised groups, minorities, disabled and neurodivergent people.

For those who think there are social safety nets here if you become disabled, chronically ill, or have children who are disabled or chronically ill... I have news for you. You're living in a fairytale.
