Things I have recently learned about Tokyo transit: Oyama station on Tobutojo like is going to be rebuilt as elevated stn, Tobu station and store in Ikebukuro are going to be rebuilt. Saikyo line near Jyujyo is also going to be rebuilt/elevated soon.

The ones who want to "play dead" need to get out of the way and let people actually paying attention to the average American take the lead. Also, if they fail to stand up against such obvious injustice now, they clearly won't help when the logical conclusion to such injustice falls on citizens too.

I really wish Washington state would take a more active role in transit service. The lack of directly state owned rail between the major cities is a big reason why no reliable services exist. The fact that WSDOT refuses to give real priority to buses keep intercity bus routes difficult to rely on.

The fact that most of the US views transit as a nonessential service means there are zero backup plans to keep rail running when the vehicles get recalled, the have to replace some times or some other thing goes wrong. And people... learn to not rely on it.
