Happy First Weekend of 2025 folks, got a question for all you Unity coders, when fetching the RectTransform of a Game Object which of these methods do you use (if you have any others I'm keen to see them πŸ˜‰) So do you A: use GetComponent directly. or B: recast Transform as RectTransform

Finally implemented texture blending on the terrain. The tile textures still need some work but it looks much better up close and gives me a lot more options than the giant single texture I was using for so long

I've been working on a model for a Medieval Siege tower, I wanted to test my abilities on something different, it drops in at just over 3k tris and wheels can be instanced, so here it is so far

Yesterday was a very productive day, not quite 100% yet but improving steadily. Working on matchmaking UI and a mixture of other things including a custom squad system, did some substance painting and working on making the Bulldozer APV usable in Unreal inc weapon system πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ🫢

I like this site a lot but the drop from when the big move happened from artists willing to share other artists is extremely noticeable the past 40 days and it’s just a shame that energy evaporated so quickly. No one gets a chance without everyone doing some and everyone sharing others a little.

Rebuilt my trim sheet material to utilize material layer attributes. Now, I can stack and tune all the attributes I want, and add extra tiled details on top of the trim bakes for a little extra character, as I've done here for both the stone and gold layers.
