It seems that the worst case scenario for a second Trump administration is happening with rapid speed. We already can’t rely on the courts nor Congress to save us, and if we lose the military, it’s over. Doomsday scenarios for the US are more realistic than most can imagine.

Well earned and deserving of her rare place!

Attached is an interesting study on the role immigration fears played on the Brexit vote: nottingham-repository.worktribe.com/preview/8650...

The Pan-European refuge crisis was leveraged by Brexit supporters as their key driver to garner support leading up to the vote. Brits were concerned that the EU would decide the number of refugees they would be required to support instead of solely making that determination. The strategy worked!

Great article but was it really a “gut feel” that Hertling had that Trump would sell out Ukraine? Wasn’t it clear to all it would happen if Trump was elected? Now that Trump is openly discussing his intent to sell out our allies, what can Ukraine/Europe do? Can they succeed without US support?

So refreshing to see a normal press conference as compared to the DC pressers after the AA crash that had Trump sycophants using air time to praise their dear leader to attempt to win favor. All while Trump pushed lies to push a racist agenda where any DEI hire must be incompetent.

Sadly, yes! You and your readers know of all this but mainstream media has not covered this and outsiders tend to view this very similarly to conspiracy theories that seem to now exist for every event that occurs. The magnitude of the plot and effort to elect Trump 2X is so big it is hard to believe

20 years ago such behavior would have been shunned. I find the parallel to Hitler’s rise beyond alarming yet we as a country still do not seem to be adequately addressing the role racism and its exploitation has played in leading us to this point.

The sad part of this is that any progress to reduce systemic racism as a society has been set back 60 years. The young whites who have embraced MAGA and Elon unfortunately now openly celebrate their racism under the cover of MAGA and the American flag.

I think that our exposure to systemic racism has enabled millions of people to overlook Trumps obvious flaws. The result being that we failed the easiest election in our lifetimes between right and wrong, and now the evil bigots have been empowered and emboldened.

How much of a factor do you believe racism in America has acted as the fuel for MAGA and Trump? I think border protection to stop migration of people of color carried Brexit and Trump in 2016. Since those victories, any subtlety in anti people of color messaging by MAGA has all but been eliminated.

Isn’t it as simple as we have elected a traitor? You have two guys running the country who have secret conversations with Putin. They are clearly selling out Ukraine, as expected. As a country, we have proven in our election of a criminal not to be very smart.

If Trump had the same VP and cabinet as his first term, they would have already invoked section 4 of the 25th amendment to remove him from power in this term. He is unhinged and unchecked and it will continue to get worse daily. This will not end well for any of us.

Does he know we all remember “Little Marco”?! Like all the Republicans, spineless!!! They are all traitors to their oath. I think Trump/Putin have dirt on all of them helping to bring us to complete acquiescence.

Unfortunately, it’s not too early to be asking Democrats to seek sane Republicans for impeachment efforts. When it comes time (already there in my opinion) to arrest these criminals and MAGAS revolt, what will our military do?

This has all been in the last day. This is not the mind of a stable man. He is dangerously unhinged and full of hostile intent.

Yes, but what if he knows the pilot was black or someone he can continue to link to DEI?
comment in response to post
Agreed, like his cabinet picks. He knows all won’t be denied, so scale of the assault is an obvious tactic now. Even if he is able to ultimately have a lower percentage of his orders survive, it’s more than if he did them in smaller doses allowing negative press (maybe?!) and sentiment to build.

So the US Military has invaded a state? I’m happy to volunteer to go to CA to help protect Californians from this invasion at the hands of Trump and his team. Where do we sign up?
comment in response to post
Agreed, but many use Trump’s position on abortion as their only measuring stick to give support to this evil man. Not sure who can save us from the horror he is unleashing, on what seems like an hourly basis.
