Huh. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

gravedigger of american democracy. a more malign influence than john c calhoun.

I will vote for the first candidate who tells me they're going to make the biggest government possible. Reacher-sized agencies. Braun Strowman-level social benefits. Government so big it starts belching out National Parks and free healthcare. Chungus State.

I want a leader who runs the government like a business. Specifically like the worst family-owned business imaginable. A pet store where the tropical fish have all somehow contracted gonorrhea. A failing adult bookstore run by two feuding brothers who keep trying to blow up each others' cars.

This is a letter I did not want to write. There is a WWII-era saying: “If there’s a Nazi at the table and ten other people sitting there talking to him, you got a table with eleven Nazis.” If you voted for #Trump, you are a #Nazi. brandy-schillace.medium.com/the-letter-b...

They’re only going to care when (the thing that’s GOING TO HAPPEN PRETTY SOON but we can’t say online) happens.

NPR calling concentration camps an “extended stay at a U.S. base”

hi, are you doomscrolling? You should order your free Covid-19 tests while the federal program still exists: special.usps.com/testkits

I would like to believe this is because someone showed them the Social Security Death Index and they decided that those millions of dead people were “still” on social security somehow, but the truth is they just made it up like everything else.

Georgia’s experience offers a warning for the nation as conservatives attempt to curtail federally subsidized health care for low-income Americans, as outlined by Project 2025, the playbook designed for a second Donald Trump presidency.

The GA program has indeed successfully implemented the GOP vision of society, taking money from the “undeserving” poor & handling it to the “deserving” rich. A plantation policy in practice.

I sincerely hope that whomever makes the Monty Python-style movie about the end of this country truly captures the absolute buffoonery on display as we self-immolated.

@ericsorensen.bsky.social good ideas everywhere you look.

what would you do differently if you were actively trying to cause more plane crashes? www.cnn.com/2025/02/16/p...

One of the really striking things when you read about Nazis is how they were already doing daily kinds of evil - child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault - before they ever started participating in mass genocide. Access to power amplified the terrible personal tendencies they already had.

from hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee

@ericsorensen.bsky.social we want this kind of messaging.

I appreciate my congressperson having polite, honest dialogue with a random pissed off constituent on BlueSky of all places but being “a bipartisan member” stopped being useful/rewarding a while ago.

@davidjroth.bsky.social I remembered Alan and Andy Benes today. That’s all.

I want to thank Nancy Pelosi for her devoted work in keeping Henry Cuellar in office. If the Democratic Party did not support him, you might end up with a guy who always votes with Donald Trump, and that would be awful.

Why are you on this list @ericsorensen.bsky.social

@ericsorensen.bsky.social

this man just replied to all his love letters on VALENTINE'S DAY. pimp shit.

No, because they have no idea any of it is happening. Just a vague sense that stuff is getting done.
