The game I tell all my tabletop RPG fans to play, not BG3. A genuine surprise banger.

I still think Secret Lairs should exist for alt-art reprints only, as locking mechanically unique cards (crossover or otherwise) behind queues that never function to purchase limited print runs is insulting to players at every level.

Jealous of your mail day posts, so I can't wait to jump on the bandwagon.

Joy to me is a bookshelf (or two) full of easily reached games and reference material. It's a modest ask!

Alfred, have you seen Dear Gonty? Or ready about @jdragsky.bsky.social's Magpie Cube? Those are two instances of fucking with MTG's fundamental assumptions (social in the former; mechanical in the latter) that hew close to your lyric-ish game imo

The subreddit feels dominated by theorycrafters and finance-pilled players. They've allowed space in their hearts for one creative thinker, and it's either Rhystic Studies or Spice8rack.
I dropped the vid in the Rascal newsletter recently becuase I found it fascinating and very cool!

There's a button at the bottom saying "pay for the full article". We're working with our web host to make that language clearer, but I cannot be responsible for teaching the internet media literacy.

Respectfully, my job isn't to placate fence-sitters. I've gotta pay four meager salaries, and we do that through subscriptions.
No ulterior motive here beyond trying to earn a living.

Let yourself bounce off of Commander, as its appeal is much more "reason to hang out with three friends" than "play a rich and rewarding game".
Also, limited formats are the objectively correct way to enjoy MTG

Just looked up this card and learned that Netrunner lists design credits for champions! Very cool!
