Looks like my plans to exercise are… on paws (Shows herself out) #Caturday

#workout got outside today! 3.6 miles. Lotta layers, but glad to get out. It felt great.

Book 26 📚 for 2025. This was a quick and tidy @scalzi.com story, my 4th of his. A very fun read, with a Scalzi take on the detective/noir tale. I'm already looking forward to reading the next one in the series, because I enjoyed this very much. Available everywhere, including your local library.

Book 25 📚 for 2025. Zanadu forwarded this one along to me, it was a really rather intrepid tale about 4 cellists in the 19th/20th centuries. Touched deeply into the role between player & instrument. Kinda called to me in that regard (more follows). Available everywhere, including your local library.

Best 📚 since last 📚 #PubLibs #FridayReads

Max -- pulling all the Whoville loot? He's hit the gym more than he looks. Zero -- don't know but fills budget.

Ok Sid. Can have this one. But maybe only this one.

This week’s z-design, again conceptually created by @zanadu.bsky.social, flip-flops the last. I did say I’d keep it.

In a major victory, the Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit ruled that discrimination based on transgender status is sex discrimination, and therefore subject to heightened scrutiny.

I can just repost this one because I saw it at least that many times *in the theater* lol

I hate sharing a polity with segregationists. I am an old person, and this has been the refrain of my entire life. Love your neighbor enough to protect them from your other neighbor.

Book 24 📚 for 2025. A solid but short read on how two companies have monopolized information (disclaimer: I worked for 1 of them in 90s). Good read, gets into the weeds early, really strong close though. We need gov't regulation to solve the issue. Available everywhere, including your local library.

I've got $10 that says he can't define 'insular discursive space'. Another $5 that says he was permanently unattractive as an undergrad.
