you’re not alone. i think this about a lot of animals, but it’s extra funny for dogs and cats

some of t’all are weird with your stanning, but I get it and it’s not a be-all-end-all. It’s just important to understand what “the masters tools will never dismantle the masters house” means in practice. Especially when it comes to elections and politicians.

That said, there isn’t that much nuance involved. Focus on the vote, and how people talk about her, if you must do anything at all. Better yet, understand how we have gotten to this point, and the strategic impact and weaponization of hatred within us politics.

No one should like a politician. Even an extremely qualified one. Yes, the misogynoir is running rampant. And yes there are Black women who do not fuck with Harris. There are those singing her praises that did NOT for vote her. And those who didn’t think she had a chance that DID vote for her.

same, though I hover if it’s a public rail. my germophobia and fear of falling just have to duke it out when i’m taking the subway

it was! i love roasted broccoli, but I just started roasting it before adding it to pesto dishes. It’s been worth the extra step, it tastes sooooo much better

same, i had some pasta for dinner today: fettuccine, with pesto and roasted broccoli

and it’s so versatile! it’s got pasta, it’s got cheese, it’s got sauce, and it has meat. Don’t want pasta? use eggplant. no meat? no problem, pile on vegetables. No cheese? no problem, do whatever the fuck you want. It’s just layers of delicious things with sauce, layered to a significant height

just block them and move on, they’re probably an op anyways. their goal is distraction and wearing you down, they’re not worth the time to respond.

Have you read his other book, Black Reconstruction? You should, to get better insight into what he is saying, and the details of the history you’re talking about. He talks about all of this. It is *the* seminal text on the time period you’re talking about.

not because it is not possible or true, but because it is not significant enough of a factor to address, and the time has passed for it to even be personally soothing, let alone strategically useful. The misogynoir needs to be acknowledged, called out and addressed.

the numbers can lie, but the numbers we have DO say that people voted tor this shit. They may not have voted *for* 47, but they voted *against* a Black woman being their leader. There’s a lot of complexity in this situation, but not here. Vote count conspiracy-mongering is long past useless.

i know, i come from a family full of government employees. I heard how it was stable, and saw many of them retire years back. I’m not saying it’s not true or that it’s not an option people need. I’m saying that the reality of gov jobs has changed for the worse and no longer offers stability.

For those in Brooklyn, check out the Foodtown in Bay Ridge, Prospect Heights, and Bedstuy. The differences aren’t even always bad, but you can see them starkly, especially in the size and quality of the produce section.

I also saw that difference growing up, and in different places in all of the states I’ve lived in. Worst place was in a specific local chain in BedStuy: it had 2025 prices back in 2015. I once went to look at fruit, and saw plums that looked like rotten prunes. Out to buy, for full price.
