I cancelled my pre-ordered Kindle books for today's Economic Blackout. (This feels like it might be bad for authors, and I really, really hope it isn't) I will re-order them tomorrow from a non-Amazon store. Today feels like a great day to finalize my break from Kindle.

Something we all should remember, as we talk about worst case scenarios and ways to plan for and survive them: It's very much worth remembering that we collectively can and will survive them. And, we will build something beautiful on the ashes of their corrupt and childish violence.

I testified at the Colorado state legislature today in favor of SB25-003, which would ban semiautomatic guns with detachable magazines. If this had been the law in 2020, the King Soopers shooter couldn’t have purchased the firearm that enabled him to kill 10 of our neighbors on that dark day. 1/

@aaronbrockett12.bsky.social thank you for your testimony in support of SB25-003!

The point of the firehose of Executive Orders is to disorient and to demobilize. It's to instill maximum fear. If we know this, then that's already half the battle. This means that we have to respond with focus on those most vulnerable & targets. It means we have to refuse their attempt to scare us.

I sure wish you'd all save your "this is how we lost" takes until people are at least no longer standing in line to fucking vote

I have an intentionally busy day at work today. Trying to get a little done scrolling in during lunch, and my feed is full of cheerful sheets 😂❤️

The way this Tressie McMillan Cottom reply blew my hair back…

I love voting in Colorado! Received my ballot in the mail with ample time for research and discussion, and I just dropped it off in the nearby drop box 🗳️

Got this lovely a few minutes ago! #aurora

It came across my dash just now. I know the law... :). www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPCJ...

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #838,914! ngl - I’m really happy to have a certified number here 😁

Nothing like getting your first tattoo at 50 to recognize that getting older doesn’t have to mean giving up on your future ❤️

Feeling super salty tonight. Big blow up at work (slow motion train wreck likely to hurt people I care about a lot) and one of my teammates straight up said to my manager that I shouldn’t be in my job. My job that I actually love. (It’s a long story) Reader, I thought violent thoughts
