Maybe an unpopular opinion here, but I am quite impressed with mainstream "high street" groceries in the UK. [Especially Tesco!] I think they do a good job of feeding, educating, and serving. And open with convenient hours for working people. Unlike certain countries I could mention.

Spent years as Arts & Sciences Dean asking alumni about their “paths.” Almost always they smiled, told me a story of circuitous or serendipitous paths and how it was the liberal arts & sciences education, not nec the major that gave them the foundation and preparation. Including folks in finance.
