Not an actual Time Lord.
Martial artist, software architect, and author are just a few of the many English terms I know.
Home theater nut. Movie fanatic.

That’s the name of Jean Shepherd’s book, upon which “A Christmas Story” is based: “In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash”.

FWIW, radix sort is essentially O(n).
(It’s actually O(n x d), where d is the number of digits of the largest number to be sorted. But in any given computer system, that maximum number of digits is likely bounded by a constant. )

I recently learned the hard way that a quality iron can be the difference between a living hell and a smooth soldering experience. 😀

Totally get this. I’m a white cis male with (at the moment) a very high salary, and even my blood runs cold whenever a card is declined. Did I spend too much? Has someone hacked my account? Did my employer just refuse to pay me?
I can only imagine how bad it would be had I not won the luck lottery.

Honestly, I’ve never cracked the how-to-sell-books code. Does self-promotion help? I never got a clear answer to that question.

I’m learning this, too. What kind of soldering iron did you choose and why?

The most terrifying thing about home ownership for me is water. When there is water where there should be be water, that is terrifying. When there is no water where there should be some, that is also terrifying.

It’s not that you have a large bosom. It’s just you just have small limbs and a head.

But on the other hand, watch watch what happens when GOP brinksmanship over the debt ceiling results in a default of US Treasuries. THEN we'll have something akin to a bankruptcy.

Definitely. I find using ai is helpful when I know what I’m doing, but dangerous when I don’t. 😁

It has a longer ramp up time than React, but it’s well worth it. Your throughput will increase, especially if you are part of a team.

As for AI, I use it sometimes. Copilot for handling some of the tedious work, and ChatGPT for the big stuff. Neither, of course, are substitutes for knowing what I’m doing.

I also like that it is VERY strongly-typed, so that dev errors are caught early, facilitating Shift Left.

I also like it because it comes with nearly everything you need out of the box. This helps the standardization because you don’t have so much customization needed to get basic functionality.

I like Angular because it’s predictable and lends itself naturally to good separation of concerns. There is an “Angular way” of doing things, and once you know what it is, you can move effortlessly from project to project, immediately knowing where to look for what.

I agree: you DO believe that. 😂

I still don’t get why you would use JavaScript when you could just as easily create your own language, and browser, and supporting ecosystem.

That and it’s about as retro as an os can get.

Very true. I mean, let’s be honest: he didn’t do the Muslim ban out of some misguided principles of some sort. He HAS no principles. Everyone and everything is either an enemy or a tool to Trump.

I found your bit about the use of directives thought-provoking. I'm still mulling that over.

Wow. When the Post and FOX correct your errors, you know you're deep in Beelzebub's realm.
