I get what you're saying, but it isn't scary, it's the reality of our society.
I cannot afford to lose my job when I have a family who relies on my income. the job market is too unreliable at the moment to risk my current one.
I'd bet most people are in the situation as me.

Maybe another country will finally be able to hold him accountable for something.
Pretty sure the Supreme Court cannot say he’s immune from international law

Not to cheapen the significance of this whole thing, but it takes a major asshole to order such a horrific act. Then announce on social media. The icing on the cake his he owns that bullshit platform.
I’m genuinely more worried for our country, my family and everyone’s safety.

I’m playing through them right now. Beat XCDE on my OLED before switch 2. Now playing XBC 2 on my switch 2 and it’s running better. Could definitely use some resolution and framerate bumps.
I want more Quality of Life updates for that one. Like a line on the map to show you direction.

assuming there aren't any more applications (which I'm sure is unlikely) That leaves about a 15% chance of getting selected for the beta program. Those aren't bad odds, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Congrats on getting the first units out! That's a big milestone!

That’s the plan. In fact I’ll write a up a quick a “project 2027.” Showing all their cards seemed to work for them.

Seems weird to like this, or put a heart on it. I don't love this at all.
I do appreciate you sharing it and putting a spotlight on it everyone should know that the cuts they made were waste. They didn't take any time to consider consequences.

Is there any evidence that the army would stand with the courts? I’d like to think this is true, but can’t rely on anything anymore in this upside down world.

The one possible silver lining is that Trump can declare all he wants, but it doesn’t change the fact that the people who would have to enforce and apply the tariffs would be committing a crime.
I’m not sure I’d want to risk counting on Trump to pardon me if I were in that situation.

I like to keep hope that sane minds will prevail and that there has to be a line those in power will not cross.
So far though they’ve crossed every line and burned it on their way through.
Day after day your version seems more and more plausible.

Not at all, as much as some people want it to be true there isn’t an actual tech billionaire as charming or as genius as Tony Stark.

So how long until the appeal hits the Supreme Court and then it becomes a law?
I hate that the pattern is so obvious yet we have no good defense left for it.

Yeah you’re probably right.
1905 - 1945 especially:
2 World Wars,
Adoption of Cars,
Flight,
Nuclear Bombs,
And that’s just a few highlights.
The uncertainly IS the worst part. Wish I could pull a Dr. Strange and quickly view 1mil + futures so I could have some data.

There’s at least no question that it’s different.
I’m not a fan of the design either, but figuring out a Xbox one game or Xbox series X game couldn’t be done at a quick glance.

If I remember right, the internet was invented in the 70s, so it technically predates many people on their 40s too.

38 y/o. Maybe everyone has the same thought at this age, but man, we’ve been through the wringer.
In 40 yrs:
internet adoption,
Y2K,
beepers & cellphones
Clinton scandal,
9/11,
War on Terror,
Smartphones,
2008 crash,
*other things I forget*
Covid,
MAGA movement
It’s a lot, some good, more bad

I really wish we could get back to a level of maturity where there are no sides. We could have calm conversations/debates and make reasonable compromises…. sigh

I despise the tariffs so much. I am pretty fortunate and make a decent living and starting to feel the squeeze. I can’t imagine what people who work for small businesses are going through.
Peoples livelihood should not be a political bargaining chip. Yet Trumps gambling it all away.

Slightly unrelated, I'm a backend Java/Python engineer and want to play around in hardware and C. Are pebble SDK and tutorials still relevant? I see the latest SDK came out in 2016? Where should I start?

There are plenty of whites (myself included) who have never supported Trump and never will. As there are plenty of blacks and browns that voted him in.
We can make the biggest difference if we’re united. The MAGA movement wants us divided. Please don’t help them by pointing fingers.

My 3yo recently got a plastic whistle from his daycare as a prize.
Our dog got a hold of it and cracked it a few days later. Usually I hate when the dog destroys this kids toys, but I think she did it for all of us.
I gave her a bone that night as a reward,

I don’t disagree. I’m not against deporting actual criminal immigrants, and Colorado does have a shortage of law enforcement.
Where the line is drawn for “criminal” is the problem.
Trump needs people to object to him. I wish it was on everything he does, but at least the pushback started.

It’s a wild concept I know, but someone can support one thing a politician does without blindly agreeing with everything they do or say.

As a millennial, my line would be a flat at the very bottom of the graph starting from whenever the Apprentice first aired. With no variation whatsoever, unless it could go lower.
