I grow things. Often chillies. And make things. Often sauces.

There's only one reason we're not all using cheap renewable energy by now, and that's that they don't want you to. It might save the planet, it might help millions of customers, but it's not as good for shareholders' profits. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Donald Trump's vision of paradise, from the Trump Gaza video, is surprising in its hirsuteness.

Last sowing of the year, comprising the faster-growing annuums, and a few that didn't germinate well in earlier attempts. 3rd from right, inexplicably missing a flag, is C. eshbaughii, though you'd be hard pressed to tell from the photo 🌶️🌱

The obvious issue here is that it makes more sense to reduce CO2 emissions than to keep emitting, then change the earth's rocks in an effort to recapture it. But unless I'm being stupid, a bigger problem is that step 1 of the process is iteslf a major source of CO2 🤔 www.earth.com/news/common-...

Contrast, colours n that.

Pleased with this new sauce, though I've struggled to find a place bright enough to photograph it on another grey winter day. A bright vermillion with 4 months' ferment under its belt, Fruity Volcano and Peppadew, with Lesya for bulk, plus homegrown garlic and shallots. It's 🔥 but moreish. 🌱🌶️

Flowers on this whatever-it-is C. annuum are just getting better and better. The plant remains small, but is bursting with purple and white blooms against a backdrop of mottled black, dark green and occassionally purple leaves. It's not quite a Calico, but it's not far off. 🌱🌶️

This is my first flower of the year. I'd pinch them out normally, but this is an experiment - seeds from pods picked off the ground in a public park. It's either Zimbabwe Black or Pixie Lights - I took a pod from each, but all plants look the same. Can anybody tell? 🌶️🌱
