The thing is with Xenogears is that it has a lot of dialogue, and weird names, and things you may forget hours later, and stuff like that, so i think it's good if you play taking notes, especially if you take long breaks, notes will help you do one playthrough really fruitful.

People really exaggerate Xenogears... i played own my own, without knowing anything and i finished really satisfied. It helped that i knew some real life references? Yeah, but i think people who don't know can understand it too.
