This isn't a gotcha. I know it's possible, but not overnight. The way our system exists, if you forgave ALL student loans, you know what most those people would do? Go buy a house, exacerbating the housing crisis. These things take time and maneuvering to achieve. We can do it, but let's do it right

I like America because we have laws, not because some orange man and his cult created a carve out. If you have student loan debt, you're still gonna make more in your lifetime than anyone without a degree. It's not a great policy, but he got a bunch forgiven. Why'd you expect it ALL to be forgiven?
