Square centimetres. I tell students to say square centimetres. If they say centimetres squared I tell them they're wrong, and make them do it right. Rest of dept laugh at me, but I'm not happy doing it wrong.

An absolute classic case of dV/dt=-kh Fortunately we managed to get it to stop before it actually emptied, and a new cylinder is being fitted tomorrow (although no hot water apart from the kettle since Sunday evening!)

These books are AMAZING - I read the first one on a whim from the library and was blown away by how good and how fun. Have since listened to the rest on audiobook. 10/10 would recommend!!
