I'm guessing you meant Blackwood rather than Blackpool? It's pretty flat round here so no valleys to look into!

Me too. I've been with them for about 10 years and haven't seen any reason to even think about jumping ship.

You must have very big ears if you only need to slice a bit off to make them fit!

Maybe once a year here (probably less affluent) although we sometimes get leaflets without a knock on the door. Print off some Satanic Temple leaflets and offer them one when they call?

I'm dippy enough without needing one.

I'm guessing you have an oldish car?

It's with trying but there are still a significant number of Brexiteers/Farage supporters over here who refuse to see what their votes have done.

I know there is still furry activity because there are furry acronyms that are the same as some that are of interest to me, e.g. BFC is both BabyFurCon and Blackpool Football Club.

I've never heard BVH called Royal before!

You're so kind to think of us. A Blackpool Brexit Remain voter.

I've certainly enjoyed playing it, and still am. There is some fighting, the locals don't like it when you pollute their planet and attack you, but if you prefer a more peaceful existence you can create a custom game with much reduced local presence.

Try Factorio. It's kind of world building in a technical sense. I'm just about to embark on a trip to my third planet after over 200 hours of game time. I clocked up about 1600 hours playing the previous version!

I'm going to try an OpenFlops drive first. If it works, which I don't see why it shouldn't, it can emulate two drives at once.

I created two devices so that I could check my own transmissions. It worked but I never heard anyone else during testing. I must get them both out and test again but I'm not too hopeful!

Looks like quite a short black coffee to me. Surely a long coffee would come in a pint mug?

I hope that wasn't the Prussian Blue one!

You've used the wrong colour blue crayon, it's much lighter blue here.

I can confirm, we have blue skies here so them modern satellite thingies seem to work.

What about one that also has a Blackpool connection? March, the Mad Scientist by Jethro Tull.

Thanks. I've not heard of Kami before. I'll take a look.

I hope you're allowed to include online watching. If not I'd be completely out of ideas.

He had the nickname "Negative Norburn" in the stands near me. A player in his position should receive the ball and look for opprtunities to feed it forwards. Too often when he got the ball he turned towards our goal and passed backwards. I'm not upset to see him away for the rest of the season.

I assume you mean £7 million (of reserves) not billion.

106 km/h gust is the highest recorded so far at the Lifeboat station. 71 km/h maximum in Layton.

There are plans - www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... Unfortunately there are many other important things that Blackpool needs to spend money on so I can understand the need to prioritise.

It's not just the media. You see it on here too - "Why have Labour not fixed 14 years of Tory rot instantaneously?" and even when there are fixes going in "I'm a self-proclaimed expert and they're doing it all wrong". Or maybe supposedly left wing supporters on Bsky are really right wing stooges?

I play more Minecraft than he does these days 😂 I'm having a break from it to play Factorio Space Age at the moment.

I don't think that would help. Our 17yo just wants to wander round with his headphones on listening to Spotify. Anything more complicated than that requires parental assistance.

We live under the starling's flight path so we're treated to this most mornings and evenings at this time of the year. It's no less impressive when you've seen it every day for weeks!

It would have been much safer to encrypt the data if you were so worried about it being copied by the courier.

I don't live in the US so I may be wrong, but I thought it was effectively a two party system? With only two candidates to vote for a ranked choice voting won't make any difference.

I hope he's better for you than he has been for us. As a midfielder you'd hope he'd distribute the ball forwards when given it, but too often he turns to face his own goal and distributes backwards 🤔 There are groans when he's brought on as a sub and some call him "Negative Norburn".

Openreach full-fibre is "planned" between now and Dec 2026 for our house. Which means they don't have a plan and are hoping they will finish by the end of next year 😡 Just a normal suburban street in a big town so no real excuse other that having bodies to do the work.

Very clever sensor that can still work at absolute zero! You need to patent it straight away 😂
comment in response to post
Actually 0.05C above absolute zero. Probably a good thing because it was true absolute zero then the electrons would stop moving completely.

Not too much wind will help a lot. Windchill can have a big effect when the wind is coming the wrong way.
