ditto this state. Enough is enough

Stephen Miller is probably already writing up the pardon paperwork

I appreciate Democrats referring to today's murder as an assassination, but it would be helpful if they 1. blame Trump and MAGA and 2. say this is an attack on our freedoms and rights to oppose the president.

I’m praying for Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband’s family, and for Sen. John Hoffman and his wife’s recovery this morning. I’m praying for everyone in Minnesota. Praying for our country. This is on all of us.

MAGA is Nazi in baby talk

Weird how there’s no handwringing about breaking team unity when it goes the other way

BREAKING NEWS: Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman, and her husband Mark, have both died. Democratic state senator John Hoffman and his wife were both shot & now out of surgery where they expect to make a recovery. The shooter was impersonating a police officer and is still at large.

The team can’t just pretend this isn’t happening because what happens when ICE shows up at the stadium

I’m devastated to learn that my friend, Minnesota Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark Hortman, were killed in last night’s shooting.

Fucking hell: “Minnesota state senator John Hoffman in Champlin and Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman in Brooklyn Park were reportedly shot in their homes by a gunman impersonating a police officer.”

I’m horrified by the shootings targeting Minnesota lawmakers, including Senator John Hoffman and State Rep. Melissa Hortman. Violence is never the answer. Never. I'm holding everyone affected by this attack in my heart.

Minnesota Gov. Walz confirms Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband are dead after an overnight "politically motivated assassination"

Walz announces that Rep. Melissa Hortman is dead as a result of a "politically motivated assassination"

Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband have both died.

I met Joe Montana at a Hollywood Video and almost peed my pants trying to just say hi In my defense I was only 12

I really like Hawaiian pizza. Send skeet.

""It's really hard to fathom that the guy making my pizza for 25 years is a gangster and a terrorist, and the person who shows up in an unmarked car wearing a mask and body armor comes to take him away is somehow the good guy," said Simon..." www.wnep.com/article/news...

The Internet Archive has rolled out an extremely effective new tool for searching for old Geocities GIFs. I'd apologize for what I'm about to do to this website as a result, but that would be a lie, because I won't feel sorry at all gifcities.org

Your reminder that Kristi Noem was and still is a lying puppy killer.

What happened to Senator Padilla for simply doing his job, should light a fire in all of us. This is how democracies die, when those in power use force against those who ask questions — and we cannot look away.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut): Alex Padilla didn't burst in. He was led by members of the Trump administration. He was accompanied by an FBI agent and a member of the National Guard. The administration brought him into that room.

That byline 🤣

Small point but we still don't even know what his question was... He was assaulted for *attempting* to ask a question.

democratic senators double checking the timing of their padilla outrage press briefing so it doesnt interfere with scheduled votes for trump nominees

Sen. Alex Padilla was on our show recently and he couldn’t have been a nicer man. He’s a true patriot and an incredible Senator for Calif. The way he was treated is absolutely disgusting. Hey Kristi Noem, why can’t you answer a simple question from an elected official? Never mind, FUCK YOU!

“What Senator Alex Padilla did today was political theater.” --Kristi Noem, the Head of Costuming, Hair, and Makeup at Political Theater

It’s true, as many have suggested, that if they can do this to Sen. Padilla, they can do it to others. I’d only add that they already have been doing this to others. A mass deportation regime, sooner rather than later, becomes contemptuous of civil liberties and basic decency.

What happened to @padilla.senate.gov in California today is outrageous. Senator Padilla is a respected leader of great dignity and he has every right to ask a question of Secretary Noem without being slammed down and handcuffed.

Tragically, the outrageous assault of Sen. Padilla today is becoming normal behavior for a Trump administration which is moving us toward authoritarianism. The American people do not like petty tyrants. We defeated King George in 1776. We will defeat King Donald.

Senators are ELECTED to be a VOICE for their constituents. What happens when that voice is stifled, thrown to the ground, and handcuffed like Senator Padilla was? We have a democracy, but we can lose that democracy. I took to the Senate floor to speak out—I hope you'll join me.

Kristi Noem calling Padilla's interruption a bit of political theater is obviously a bit rich but she's not wrong: It was meant to show that the administration was fascistic, unserious, and contemptuous of local leaders. Guess what happened!

If the Padilla thing is normal in your America, you done lost the plot. Shame on you.

In Donald Trump's America, if you say "I am Senator Alex Padilla, I have questions for the Secretary," you get thrown to the floor and handcuffed.

What happened to Senator Padilla is absolutely DISGUSTING. Point blank, period. This shit is out of control. Another elected official disrespected while doing their job. (1/2)

House Democrats need to bring articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem, while Senate Democrats need to bring that chamber to a fucking halt.

I live here lol

I saw Spaceballs several times before I ever saw Star Wars, and I think that explains my personality a lot.
