You mean the guy who had the foresight to sign a declining James Shields to a severe overpay just so that he could give up a home run to a fat pitcher which then let him trade him for a prospect who he must have known was going to turn into a star? 3D chess my friend.

It sure feels like it’s a lot more now than it used to be, but it’s possible we’re just more aware of it.

Yeah, it sure seems like that. 3 month reprieve - if it rains.

Also I haven’t lost a parent but it still made me cry. But that’s a thing that’s been happening more lately and I don’t know if it’s just what happens as you get older or if it’s everything else in the world piling up.

Yeah it was nice that the editors and producers seemed to have learned after last year that the audience doesn’t want them to dishonestly edit the show so it seems like the clear front runner isn’t going to win.

What a bummer. The first season was so good and I was very impressed that they actually pulled it off.

City cops have had to wear identification for a long time. These arrests we’re seeing videos of could just be kidnappings or vigilantes! How can you lay your hands on a police officer if there’s no way to know if the guy who grabbed you is a police officer?

Oh that’s neat and also in totally unrelated news I’ve been without a contract for like a year, UCSD isn’t bargaining in good faith, and I’ve been on strike a few different times already this year

Whoa I used to make this all the time and I haven’t made it in maybe 15-20 years and completely forgot it was a thing until now.

Two things can be true: Leitner should have been off the air years before he was and the Padres really disrespected a total legend who deserved better.

Mud made the last couple of years of Dick Enberg in the booth during some truly unbearable Padres seasons not just listenable but really entertaining.

It’s such a delicate balance between being annoyed at the just found out vibes and not wanting to support the loud white people defending the bad name.

Especially when a team is named after an indigenous group. It isn’t great.

I don’t actually think either objection is necessarily wrong

The behavior of his pr team around that whole situation is really suspicious and I don’t think mlb declaring their biggest star innocent is worth much

Well yeah. I’m pretty sure they didn’t play yesterday and have a few more days off until they play again right?

People have already been taken off drugs and treatments they got on study among other things. It sucks.
Even if this is upheld they’ve done major damage to vulnerable populations which was the goal.

Studies have already been terminated. Subjects have already had their premature discontinuation visits because of the studies ended. I don’t think they’re magically going to come back to life.
