I had a similar thought as I had to sit there for several of the allotted seven minutes watching my GP plod on his keyboard with two fingers typing up what I had told him

Not just performance as in power, but breaking, contact control, inside safety features (seatbelts and airbags), and crumple zones. All these things contribute to making them safer.

If a car going at 70mph is operating near its maximum capability, then it won’t last long. It’s physics… you’re going to need that headspace in performance.
Also, if 1960s cars were safe doing 70mph, today’s cars are safe going quite a bit faster.

They’re all identifying as cats now. They use litter boxes too in American schools (you know, the things that look like temporary toilets to be used in lockdowns when there’s a school shooting).

A lot of people choosing between eating and heating probably can’t prioritise that money on a replacement door number. You’re an arse

… alters your perception to let you think you’re a better parent.
There, I fixed it for you. I expect it’s quite scary to see adult out of control. They like to think that you’re the ultimate authority and it’s scary when that perception is shattered.

Also, you can call national rail enquiries and tell them you’ve been left stranded and they can call a taxi for you. You may have to push quite strongly for that but I got them to do it recently. 03457484950

You probably know this but you should be given a taxi (no upfront cost to you at all) from Bletchley to one of the intermediate stations (if that was your destination). Hope you can find staff at Bletchley - sometimes they hide in the office and you have to hunt for them.
