Cache hits and misses are built into every CDN, not just Cloudflare, so I would expect to see this privacy weakness occurring elsewhere as well. I think it's solvable though, but requires a lot more data transfer to happen to zones that aren't proximate to the user, which will cost $$ for the CDNs.

Bluesky has said that they won't make money by selling user data and won't implement advertisements. At a certain point, the investors expect a return. They always do. So don't think that the people leading this are any better leaders than folks at Meta or Twitter.
