My prediction for US politics, is that it’s going to be a wild ride for the first year, then the president will run out of steam and play a lot of golf. Focus will then turn to the mid terms which should change the dynamics. Potentially he could be a lame duck for the last 2 years.

I have a theory about the rise of Trump and the threat of Reform. Politics is simple and they get it. People need food, a home, heating, a job and a sense that better days are ahead. On the flip side they fear that immigration threatens those needs and mainstream politicians are detached from them.

My daughter is now obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer so I have watched a lot of episodes and it just occurred to me that George Lucas must have seen the demons in Buffy and thought, they would look good in the Phantom Menace. Ridiculous cross over look @robgirvan.bsky.social any thoughts?
