My advice to the Dems is don’t get angry at the voters, don’t say I told you so, do not bathe in righteousness, instead spend the next year listening to Trump voter fears and needs and work out a compelling case for how you can address those. Do not rage at the voters, listen and organise.

The Trump campaign understood these needs and targeted their messaging accordingly. It didn’t matter that their solutions are extreme, or even if they could work, they said we will ensure prices fall, you get housing, you will have jobs and we will deal with the threat from immigration.
