Who would have thought it? Trump lied throughout his presentation about how the tariffs are calculated. They are in proportion to trade deficits, nothing to do with the tariffs charged by other countries, and not reciprocal. www.thetimes.com/article/ca48... (paywall)

Europe needs to move on from ridiculing, belittling or ignoring Trump. This is the new USA and governments will need sophisticated strategies to deal with both it and the ramifications of its global vandalism.
