🔭 🚨 We have a new paper out! Lead: Garett Brown We shoot random stars and free floating planets at the early Solar System. It turns out, there is a surprisingly high (1%) that we reproduce something that is consistent with the present day Solar System to a high degree. arxiv.org/abs/2412.04583

Last Friday I showed off Parker Solar Probe's upcoming deep dive into the Sun's corona in OpenSpace (@openspaceproj.bsky.social ). The audience got a kick out of learning that it's gonna happen on December 24th. Sometimes, perihelion just happens to line up with the holidays. #planetarium

If you haven't yet, give "The Orville" a chance on Hulu. It is fantastic. Brings the basic principles of Star Trek into even more modern issues and it is also funny. Gets really good after season 2 and peaks in the last season.
