This is your regular reminder that executive orders are not royal decrees. Because America has no king.

Walz: If you say you love freedom but you don't believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love is not freedom, it is privilege.

After getting some rest, I am in awe of everyone who continues to lift their voice and speak out. This is a moment for our country, and we must make a choice about the America we want to be.

I pulled my favorite hoodie out today. May we respond with courage, love, and a commitment to work for change!

Seriously this Bible exchange goes on even longer than I'm able to clip here.

Trans women & men both scored in the high religious trauma category in my doctoral research. Both reported high rates of family estrangement after sharing their true selves. Hatred & rejection of loved ones rooted in religion is an evil abuse of theology. #TransDayOfVisibility

Today the faith workgroup of the Yakima Immigration Response Network released an interfaith statement from clergy, lay leaders, faith communities, & individuals of faith in regarding changes to immigration policies that impact our neighbors: yakimaresponsenetwork.org/wp-content/u...

If our Christianity causes us to get more angry at the idea of a poor person possibly “abusing the system” than we do about the most powerful and wealthy people in our country creating a system that crushes the poor and makes it impossible to get by, we need a grand reversal.

Honored to be helping to lead the faith community response for the Yakima Immigration Response Network. You can learn more about what we are doing and how to get involved here: yakimaresponsenetwork.org/advocacy/fai...

I will be attending this training via @interfaithalliance.org - I encourage others to explore and connect. support.interfaithalliance.org/a/faithful-r...

MUST-WATCH: This is the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil from the perspective of his wife, who is 8 months pregnant. This is federal agents in plain clothes dragging a man from his home as punishment for his speech. @nyclu.org @ccrjustice.org @theimeu.bsky.social

President Trump can't punish and deport someone for their political beliefs. Mahmoud Khalil has not been charged with a crime — he must be released immediately.

“I was hungry” and you cut $1 Billion in funding to schools and food banks. “I was sick” and you worked to gut medicaid, depriving me of healthcare. “I was a stranger” and you defined my humanity by legal status. “What ever you do to the least of these, you do unto me.”-Jesus

Conversations about community organizing as an expression of faith bring me hope in these times. Alone we can do a little- together we can change our communities, our states, and our country. Find your people and get to work. ❤️

"PRRI data does not paint a portrait of American young men suddenly becoming more pious in recent years... Instead, it is American Gen Z women who have moved religiously." New op-ed from @melissadeckman.bsky.social in @religionnews.com.web.brid.gy: religionnews.com/2025/03/07/t...

American Republicans are ideologically much more like people in Russia or Turkey than they are like members of European right-wing parties, and this only happened in the last 25 years. www.ft.com/content/3046...

The target isn’t Christians, it’s Christian nationalism. The target isn’t white people, it’s white supremacy. The target isn’t heterosexuals, it’s homophobia. The target isn’t men, it’s patriarchy. So don’t take it personally. Join the work & dismantle oppressive systems. - Carlos Rodriguez

We just launched a new resource to track Trump's executive orders related to our policy areas: separation of church & state, LGBTQ Freedom, reproductive freedom, public schools, anti-censorship, anti-authoritarianism, & more. Use it to understand what they mean and how people of faith can respond!

Our team compiled a list of Resources for Women’s History Month. Check it out in the The Flipped Table Collective resource library:
